The University Honors & Scholars Programs (UHSP) at Mines offers eight interdisciplinary pathways to enrich student education, including honors programs, undergraduate research, STEM credentialing, and scholarship opportunities. These programs support 20% of undergraduates and continue to grow.

This full-time position involves supporting honors and scholar programs, managing undergraduate student employees, coordinating projects related to marketing, policies, and events, and assisting faculty and students with funding and program activities. The role requires close collaboration with the UHS Department Manager and Executive Director to enhance program systems, manage applications, coordinate events, and maintain the UHS website.

Work Schedule: On-campus, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four years of administrative support experience, including data entry, social media, and computer skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work with diverse populations
  • Current Colorado residency required

Substitutions: College coursework may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis; transcripts required if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education administration
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Wordpress, and Workday
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task
