Methuen Public Schools is seeking a Program Coordinator(s) for MPS Before & After-School and Summer Programs for grades K-8. The role coordinates after-school and summer activities, schedules staff, manages transportation, and collaborates with partners to implement curriculum and field trips.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree, experience with youth programs, strong organizational skills, attendance records, and the ability to work with families and school staff.
Position Type: Support Staff / Instructional Assistant
Title: Program Coordinator(s) for MPS Before & After-School and Summer Programs (Gr. K-8)
A-S Program hours: Mon. through Fri. 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (with additional hours/days noted below according to MPS school calendar); Additional hours may be required for before‑school coverage, planning, days noted below, and as needed by the Program Manager of Community Programs.
Summer Program hours: Varies between Mon. – Fri., 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Programs run through the school year, including open houses, program coordinator monthly meetings, professional development days, parent conference days, all other half days & delayed openings, winter and spring recesses, and summer. Hours not to exceed 29 hours/week on average and are subject to change.
Date of Opening: August 17, 2026
Availability of this position is contingent upon sufficient funding and enrollment.
$28‑$38/hr.
