The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Lake Livingston camp, to provide support and mentorship to the seasonal leadership team, supervise staff, and ensure a safe, engaging camp experience for children and families.
You will schedule leadership tasks, oversee daily operations, promote YMCA core values, collaborate with community partners, and help prepare for camper arrivals, departures, and events during the summer season.
Provides support and mentorship of the seasonal summer camp leadership team. Maintaining organization and oversight of the team in an advisory role. Responsible for, but not limited to, scheduling leadership tasks, supporting leadership team in daily responsibilities, and overseeing programing. Directly supervises staff within the program. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes camper safety and engagement. Provides a quality experience for children and parents focused on youth development including the YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith.
Accepts and demonstrates the Y's values. Demonstrates a desire to serve others and fulfill community needs. Recruits volunteers and builds effective, supportive working relationships with them. Supports fund-raising.

Current record of tuberculosis examination and/or current local health department regulations, examinations, and/or immunization as required by the local or State Department of Health.

The job is located on Lake Livingston at YMCA Camp Cullen in Trinity, TX for a YMCA Resident Camp Program.
The Program Coordinator is required to live on the camp property during the season.
