Job summary

CORA Services is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the YouthCOR program at Northwood Academy Charter School, Philadelphia. You will help design and implement after-school programming, coordinate staff training, and maintain strong parent communication via Class Dojo.

The role requires an AA degree and 3 years in an OST setting, with a Monday/Thursday/Friday 1:00 pm–6:00 pm and Tue/Wed 10:00 am–6:00 pm schedule. Duties include data management and licensing compliance.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Elementary Education, Human Services or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in an out-of-school time program.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement high quality programming within YouthCOR at Northwood Academy Charter School.
  • Support staff with on-site learning and training for high quality OST programming.
  • Drive program innovation and ensure age-appropriate, standards-aligned lesson plans.
  • Coordinate materials, communication with families via Class Dojo, and data entry.
  • Oversee attendance, food program, and licensing compliance.
  • Support enrollment efforts and CitySpan data management.
  • Maintain partnerships and scheduling with current partners.

CORA is currently seeking a Program Coordinator who would be responsible for the administrative responsibilities of the YouthCOR program at Northwood Academy Charter School - 4621 Castor Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19124.

Starting Rate

$19.50 for 3 years experience and an AA degree (salary commensurate with experience and credentials)

Schedule

Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays: 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Total: 31 hours

Your duties will include:

  • Work with the Program Manager to develop and implement high quality programming within the Northwood Academy Charter School- YouthCOR Year-Round OST Program.
  • Assist in developing a flagship program at Northwood Academy Charter School, providing on-site, hands-on learning and training opportunities for new staff to be prepared for high quality OST programming.
  • Drive program innovation, ensuring that all lesson plans and program plans are creative, grade appropriate and meet rigorous academic standards.
  • Accepts and fulfils material requests from staff, ensuring all staff are equipped with materials needed for high quality programming.
  • Connects with parents on Class Dojo, to provide open communication between the program and families.
  • Observe, engage, coach, and support site-based staff to ensure consistent high quality program delivery.
  • Assess the effectiveness of programmatic activities and make recommendations for modifications.
  • Serve as a point of contact for new partnerships, while maintaining strong relationships with current partners. Ensure program scheduling is smooth and communication is strong.
  • Support the enrollment efforts at a large program, oversee the data system of enrolling youth into CitySpan.
  • Support the Manager in maintaining an active Certificate of Compliance for licensing.
  • Oversees daily attendance, ensuring data is entered accurately and on time.
  • Manages the food program, ensuring the program remains in compliance with all expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Positive Youth Development.
Educational Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in Elementary Education, Human Services or related field
Experience / Knowledge / Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an out of school time program.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of administrative experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience in lesson planning and curriculum development, teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a broad variety of people
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, problem solve, and follow-through on areas of responsibility
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with regard to recording/collecting data
