Job summary

The Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA) seeks a Program Coordinator, National SART, to lead national training and technical assistance for multidisciplinary Sexual Assault Response Teams across the United States and territories. You will support OVW-funded grantees and allied professionals to improve system responses to sexual violence.

You will work with the SVJI team to build capacity, share responsibilities, and ensure high-quality support for rural and diverse communities,

Responsibilities

Who We Are

The Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA) provides leadership and resources for sexual assault programs and allies to prevent sexual violence while promoting a comprehensive, socially just response for all victim/survivors. We support, convene, and collaborate with sexual assault programs, advocates, prosecutors, law enforcement officers, and nursing programs to promote a more victim-centered response to sexual violence, and increase effective criminal justice.

MNCASA provides:

1. Victim and Survivor Support by helping partner programs and medical personnel, law enforcement, and legal and social service providers deliver state of the art victim advocacy and support.
2. Prevention Support by developing the capacity of partner programs and others to design and implement effective community-level primary prevention strategies.
3. Policy Reforms through public policy education and advocacy.
4. Systems Change by developing capacity in medical, criminal justice, social service, and judicial systems to incorporate a coordinated and victim-centered approach into their responses.

About the Role

In this role, you will coordinate MNCASA’s national training and technical assistance programming focused on strengthening multidisciplinary Sexual Assault Response Teams (SARTs) across the United States and Territories. You will support Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) grantees and allied professionals working to improve systems responses to sexual violence.

You will work alongside another Program Coordinator within the SVJI team to collaboratively build national capacity for SARTs, share project responsibilities, and ensure consistent, high-quality support for multidisciplinary teams. A significant portion of this work includes supporting rural communities, where access to coordinated sexual violence response systems can be limited. You will help rural teams strengthen collaboration, improve victim/survivor-centered practices, and navigate unique barriers to services.

Together you will develop training, provide customized technical assistance, create resources, conduct site visits (virtual and in-person), and coach multidisciplinary teams to improve trauma-informed, equitable responses to sexual violence.

Who You Are

You are a strategic collaborator who thrives on building strong multidisciplinary partnerships, supporting systems change work, and creating tools that help advocates and professionals improve responses to sexual violence. You bring experience in sexual assault advocacy or related disciplines, paired with a strong background in program coordination and stakeholder engagement. You’re comfortable in front of audiences, whether you’re facilitating training, presenting at a conference, or testifying at the legislature. Above all, you are passionate about survivor-centered, equity-driven responses to sexual violence.

You bring most of the following:

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or you bring a meaningful combination of professional and lived experience that aligns with this work.
• You have at least three years of experience supporting survivors of sexual assault or working in an allied field.
• You may come from an allied field such as healthcare, criminal justice, or social services—what matters most is your commitment to trauma-informed, survivor-centered advocacy.
• You have experience serving on or supporting a SART or similar multidisciplinary collaboration.
• You have experience working with or in rural communities, or a strong understanding of rural service delivery challenges.

What You’ll Do

Grants/Project Coordination (25%)

• In collaboration with the Training and TA Manager, monitor and manage program budgets, and oversee the development and delivery of all activities under local, state, and federal grants related to National SART programming.
• Assist in and coordinate the preparation of related grant applications and reporting materials.
• Collaborate with internal staff and external partners to strengthen national system-change efforts.

Multi-Disciplinary Team Coordination and Support (15%)

• Provide coaching and consultation to multidisciplinary teams working to improve sexual violence responses.
• Partner with communities, organizations, and individuals addressing underserved and marginalized populations.
• Ensure that all facilitation approaches and processes are victim-centered, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed.
• Support rural communities in strengthening coordinated responses.
• Represent MNCASA at national meetings, conferences, and events.

Training and Technical Assistance (40%)

• Deliver one-on-one consultation, information, and resources using multiple methods.
• Develop and/or provide training on issues related to SART promising practices, victim/survivor-centered approaches, and systems-change strategies.
• Field and direct training requests to appropriate MNCASA staff.
• Conduct virtual and in-person site visits to support multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate technical assistance on medical forensic policy with other MNCASA staff.
• Support teams in improving access to criminal justice options for underserved communities.

Resource Development (20%)

• Identify, vet, and share resources and promising practices through SART listserv and the MNCASA website.
• Create and refine tools, materials, and guidance for multidisciplinary collaborations.
• Collaborate with MNCASA staff to strengthen system-change resources.

Work Environment & Schedule

MNCASA offers a hybrid work environment designed to support collaboration, flexibility, and sustainability.

• For staff living within 50 miles of our Saint Paul office, the standard schedule includes three in-office days and two remote days each week.
• We aim to align our in-office time to prioritize team collaboration, wellness practices, and connection, not just desk time.
• Our office is in a shared, professional office building with standard office furniture, equipment, and amenities. Most duties are performed in a seated, desk-based setting, with frequent computer and phone use.

This role includes occasional travel to support events and job activities. This typically occurs 1–3 times per year, with advance notice and full logistical support provided.

Supervision

The Program Coordinator, National SART, reports to the Training and Technical Assistance Manager and may supervise interns and/or volunteers as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is$58,000 annually, depending on experience. For internal candidates, final salary is also informed by organizational seniority and equity within the current pay structure.
