Job summary

Unitek College Of Nursing is seeking an LVN Program Coordinator who works under the supervision of the Campus VN Program Director and VN Assistant Program Director for the Vocational Nursing Program. The role involves planning, evaluating, and supporting the program, faculty development, and ensuring compliance with state requirements.

The position requires an active RN or VN license, at least three years of nursing experience including teaching or clinical supervision, and strong leadership and

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid, clear and current active RN license in the assigned state.
  • Demonstrates effective problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate pertinent information in a timely manner to appropriate personnel.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Minimum three years’ experience as a registered nurse or vocational nurse; one year in teaching or clinical supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, developing, managing, updating and evaluating all aspects of the program.
  • Assist with preparing data and other required state and Board materials and reports.
  • Assist in training new faculty and professional development of existing faculty.
  • Assist in planning faculty staffing to ensure course coverage.
  • Ensure timely completion of theory and clinical evaluations and collect evaluations from students, sites, and faculty.
  • Assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure program quality.
  • Pursue continuous improvements in instruction quality.
  • Ensure clinical assignments and calendars are completed promptly.
  • Ensure faculty follow policies related to student clinical rotation experience.
  • Review student learning materials and maintain student records per policies.
  • Submit required program reports to the Program Director in a timely manner.
  • Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations.
  • Provide advising support and planning assistance to potential and current students.
  • Ensure students meet graduation and state licensing exam requirements.
  • Teach theory or clinical half of the time as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The LVN program Coordinator works with and functions under the supervision of the Campus VN Program Director and VN Assistant Program Director for the Vocational Nursing Program.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assists with planning, developing, managing, updating and evaluating all aspects of the program.
  • Assists with preparing data and other written materials for all required state and Board requirements including reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, audits, and site visits.
  • Assist in the training of new faculty and the professional development of existing faculty.
  • Assist in planning faculty staffing to ensure course coverage.
  • Ensures theory and clinical evaluations are completed in a timely manner by assigned faculty. § Assists in gathering evaluations from students, clinical sites representatives, and faculty upon completion of each clinical rotation
  • Assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure program quality.
  • Makes continuous efforts to improve quality of instruction.
  • Ensures clinical assignments, clinical rotation matrixes and calendars are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensures faculty are consistently following policies and guidelines as related to student clinical rotation experience.
  • Reviews student learning material on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensures student records are maintained according to policies.
  • Submits required program reports and forms to the Program Director in a timely manner.
  • Keeps current with new technologies and safety regulations.
  • Provides advising support and planning assistance to potential and current students.
  • Ensures all students have completed the necessary documentation and meet the requirements for graduation and the state licensing exam.
  • Teach (either theory or clinical) half of the time as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Pay Range: The annual pay range for this position is $104,000/year (minimum), and $110,000/year (maximum).
Qualifications
