Job summary

Reading Hospital, part of Tower Health, seeks a Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator to manage day-to-day admin for ACGME-accredited residency programs. You will support the Program Director and GME office, liaise with residents and sites, and handle calendar management, reports, and communications across departments.

The role requires strong clerical skills, healthcare knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Medical Knowledge/Healthcare background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day administration of the residency training program.
  • Serve as liaison between the Program Director, residents, fellows, and GME office.
  • Provide calendar management, reports, correspondence, and reception support.
  • Develop and maintain educational quality and compliance with accrediting standards.

Job Summary

The Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator (PC):

  • Handles the day-to-day administration of a residency training program accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and/or other accrediting bodies to include American Society of Health-System Pharmacists ASHP, Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME), The Fellowship Council and/or Non-Accrediting programs.
  • Assists the program director (PD) and/or the Graduate Medical Education office in developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training program and ensuring compliance with ACGME/Non-ACGME accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Functions as a liaison between the PD, residents, fellows, the GME Office, participating sites, and other departments within the health system.
  • Provides administrative support for department leadership, calendar management, preparing reports, handling correspondences, reception and answering telephone calls.
  • Possesses knowledge of patient care/operational activities at the various training sites in which their residents/fellows rotate.
  • The PC may be required to assist in the start of new GME programs or other GME programs if needed.
