Job summary

The Salvation Army, Developmental Disabilities Program in Lower Bucks County, PA, is seeking a Program Coordinator (Community Based Living) to lead a residential team and advocate for adults with developmental disabilities.

The ideal candidate will combine administrative excellence with compassion, oversee staff, ensure safety, manage schedules, and coordinate with families and funding sources to help residents live with dignity and joy.

Qualifications

• An associate degree (or 60 credits) with 2 years field experience, OR a HS diploma/GED with 5 years field experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook & Word) and comfortable using electronic health record databases.
• Understanding of federal, state, and county regulations (6400) for adult developmental disability services.
• Ability to supervise staff, manage schedules, and support 24/7 residential operations (nights/weekends possible).
• Ability to track medical appointments, finances, staff schedules, petty cash and quality surveys.
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record and reliable vehicle; on-call responsibilities.
• Alignment with The Salvation Army’s mission of service.

The Essentials:

• Education & Experience: An Associate’s Degree (or 60 credits) with 2 years of field experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant field experience.
• Technological Experience: Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook & Word) and comfortable utilizing computers and other technologies including electric health record databases.
• Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of federal, state, and county regulations (6400) for adult developmental disability services.
• Leadership Skills: The ability to supervise staff, manage schedules, and maintain a positive, high-quality work environment. This leadership position requires flexible availability based on scheduling and supervision for 24/7 residential operations. May be required to work nights and/or weekends.
• Task Management: Ability to manage and track large amounts of information, including but not limited to medical appointments, financial information, staff schedules, petty cash and quality surveys.
• Reliability: A valid Driver’s License with a good driving record, reliable vehicle and the ability to manage on-call responsibilities.
