Job summary

Michigan State University is seeking a Program Coordinator to support statewide delivery of MSU-IAT's Food Processing Technology and Safety programs, including the 15-credit pathway, stand-alone certificate, and related microcredentials.

The role blends curriculum development, teaching in hybrid formats at East Lansing and partner sites, partner engagement, and program coordination to advance workforce education across Michigan.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in one of the listed fields.
• At least three years of experience in higher education program coordination or similar.
• Strong project management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead ongoing development and refinement of the FPTS curriculum and microcredentials to stay aligned with industry standards and workforce needs.
• Develop and maintain shared course materials, including syllabi, LMS content, rubrics, and learning activities for consistent delivery across sites.
• Work with IAT and partner-college faculty to improve courses and develop modules, microcredentials, and pathway options.
• Use student outcomes, employment data, and employer feedback to guide curriculum review and continuous improvement.
• Support instructors with course design, hybrid delivery, and mobile lab learning activities.
