Job summary

Children’s Home Association of Illinois (CHAIL) is seeking a PROGRAM COORDINATOR (PS) to supervise a team of Family Support Specialists in Peoria, IL, ensuring the delivery of high-quality home visiting services and adherence to Healthy Families America standards.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, experience in human services, and the ability to engage diverse families while managing grants and program budgets.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in Human or Social Services; 1 year working directly with families with children in-home or in group settings, case management or service coordination experience.
• Solid understanding of supervising and motivating staff, as well as providing support in stressful work environments.
• Experience in early childhood prevention services; home visitation preferred.
• Knowledge of parent-child attachment, maternal-infant health and dynamics of child abuse and neglect preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision to a team of Family Support Specialists (4 FSS) and 1 Outreach Specialist.
• Facilitates weekly 1.5-2 hour supervision sessions.
• Ensures home visiting documentation is completed accurately and submitted per policy.
• Monitors caseloads and home visit completion rates.
• Develops and implements training plans and ensures staff meet Healthy America training requirements.
• Provides annual evaluations and manages grant budgets and program outcomes.
• Attends community meetings and participates in team-building activities.
