Job summary

GW Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) in Washington, DC seeks an experienced on-site Administrative/Clerical professional to support credentialing, fellowship coordination, and related clerical duties for the Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine department.

The role involves processing credentialing applications, assisting with re-credentialing, coordinating faculty hiring, handling invoices, and scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a healthcare setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer use including Microsoft Office.
  • Prior experience using clinical applications/EHR.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate submission of initial credentialing applications and monitor progress.
  • Assist with re-credentialing and timely completion of renewals.
  • Maintain provider lists with MFA Credentialing Office and GWUH Medical Staff Office.
  • Open new faculty positions and support recruitment and faculty appointments.
  • Process invoices and reimbursements; manage vendor additions to AP system.
  • Serve as Program Coordinator for fellowships, including onboarding and graduation.
  • Prepare daily and monthly schedules; manage annual licensure tracking.
  • Schedule appointments and travel; support faculty annual reviews.
  • Handle department correspondence and communications; answer inquiries.
