Project FIND seeks a Program Coordinator for Coffeehouse Older Adult Centers (OAC) to collaborate with the Program Director in planning and facilitating engaging programs for center members. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and 1+ years of program planning or related experience.
  • Experience working with older adults, knowledge of aging and engaging activities.
  • Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English and Chinese/English) encouraged to apply.

  • Excellent presentation, writing, and record-keeping skills.
  • Must coordinate and multi-task effectively.
  • Must be computer literate and willing to learn evolving program-specific software.

  • Strong customer service and member engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor participation and perform outreach to maintain high engagement.
  • Prepare monthly calendars, flyers, and information materials.
  • Assist in preparing monthly statistics for fiscal reporting.
  • Help establish and maintain community partnerships/linkages.
  • Supervise program consultants and volunteers (incl. contract renewals).
  • Ensure completion of sign-in sheets, logs, forms, and surveys.
  • Input/upload data into organizational databases, including NYC Aging databases.
  • Maintain membership lists and assist with registrations.
  • Assist with data collection, calculation, and documentation of program contributions.
  • Attend community, agency, and staff meetings as required.

Project FIND’s mission is to provide low and moderate income and homeless seniors with the services and support they need to enrich their lives and live independently. Today Project FIND operates three supportive housing residences that are home to about 600 people and four senior centers with over 3,000 members. Our members and residents range from the healthy and active to the frail and homebound to the homeless. For all these men and women, Project FIND is a critical resource, providing housing, meals, and programs that help individuals navigate the challenges of aging by encouraging community engagement and healthy living. Job Summary:

The Program Coordinator for Coffeehouse OAC will work with the Program Director to plan, establish, and facilitate engaging programs for center members. Also, the individual will assist with administrative duties within the site, including oversight of meal distribution, data entry associated with program offerings, information and referral documentation, and congregate meal service information.

Responsibilities include:
  • Develop and conduct engaging and innovative OAC activity programs that meet NYC Aging annual program deliverables.
  • Monitorprogram participation rates and perform ongoing outreach to ensure high rates of member engagement.
  • Prepare monthly activity calendars, promotional flyers, and information materials.
  • Assist in preparing monthly statistics for submission to our fiscal team.
  • Assist to identify, establish, and maintain community partnerships/linkages
  • Supervise program consultants and volunteers (includes annual management of contract renewals).
  • Ensure accurate completion of activity sign-in sheets, logs, consent forms, and surveys.
  • Input/Upload program data into organizational database systems, including NYC Aging’s program databases.
  • Maintain membership listservandassist with participant registration/re-registration process.
  • Assist with collection, calculation, and documentation of program contributions.
  • Attend community, agency, and staff meetings as needed and required.
  • Provide site coverage at other Project FIND OACs when needed.
  • Perform other related tasks as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, and 1+ years of program planning or relative experience.
  • Experience working with older adults, including knowledge of the aging process and familiarity developing activities to stimulate this population.
  • Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English and Chinese/English) are encouraged to apply.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday (35 hours weekly) from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, with the flexibility and availability to work on Christmas Day (must be flexible to support special program hours or days as needed).
