TITLE

Program Coordinator, Center for Leadership Research and Workforce Development

JOB SUMMARY

Performs administrative duties in the coordination, support and development of the JNIWL Center for Leadership Research and Workforce Development (CLRWD). Areas of focus include financial management, administration, and programmatic support. Work is performed under general supervision and performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Manager of Special Projects

Supervises: No supervisory duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES -
  • Supports CLRWD program-related activities for research & workforce development.
  • Maintains excellent public relations and communication with all stakeholders.
  • Processes requisitions, purchase orders, and/or solicitations for bid to procure supplies, consultants, vendors, speakers, and equipment as needed.
  • Promotes the services and activities of the CLRWD through social media, website, and email in concert with JNIWL Manager of Marketing.
  • Updates and maintains contact lists and mailing databases.
  • Coordinates event logistics for both virtual and in-person workshops, meetings, and training sessions, including registration, scheduling, setup, and materials.
  • Monitors center budget expenditures and provides the Director with timely updates on spending and available funds.
  • Enters basic information into CLRWD databases and tracking systems.
  • Assists with organizing and disseminating research materials and publications.
  • Creates simple reports and summaries as requested.
  • Supports grant-related documentation and tracking.
  • Manages office supplies and inventory.
  • Works with Procurement on contracts.
  • Develops and maintains effective record keeping as directed.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
  • Performs other duties as requested.
EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in an area generally related to program content or assigned responsibilities. Additional job-related experience and/or education may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

EXPERIENCE

Three years of experience in a generally related area required. Preferred experience working in higher education, coordinating research or outreach activities, working on initiatives related to women’s leadership, and/or familiarity with procurement, contracts and budgetary processes.

REQUIREMENT

Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.

  • Ability to integrate resources, policies, and information for the determination of procedures, solutions, and other outcomes.
  • Ability to apply budgeting and fiscal planning techniques within financial constraints.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment, including related university software and email.
