Job summary

Boston University is hiring a Program Coordinator, Assignments Housing to manage on-campus housing assignments for the academic year. You will assign entering freshmen and transfer students to spaces based on Housing Applications, coordinate special needs with other departments, and serve as the frontline contact for students and families.

You will oversee the bi-annual housing reservation and annual room selection processes, maintain the housing assignments database, and respond to requests

Qualifications

• Two years of college or equivalent; strong organization experience and customer service skills.
• One to three years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assign entering freshmen and transfer students to residence space based on Housing Application submissions; evaluate special needs in coordination with other University departments.
• Serve as frontline representative to students, parents, and University departments.
• Plan for and participate in bi-annual housing reservation process and annual room selection process for continuing students.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and process continuing student room change requests; interview and counsel students on room change and direct swap processes.
• Maintain and update student housing assignment database and space allocation file.
