Job summary

The Tennessee Department of Health is seeking a CCI Coordinator to support the Office of Community Collaboration and Impact. You will assist with program operations, scheduling, partner communications, and document organization to keep CCI activities running smoothly.

Responsibilities include managing email inquiries, coordinating meetings, updating SharePoint libraries, and supporting accessibility efforts across materials, slides, and trainings for community health councils.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing program coordination, administrative tasks, and communications.
  • Strong organizational, writing, formatting, proofreading, and follow-through skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting meetings, trainings, webinars, or partner-facing activities.
  • Familiarity with accessible document formatting or willingness to be trained.
  • Experience in public health, community engagement, nonprofit, government, or partner-facing work is preferred.

  • Support routine website content updates, ensuring materials remain current and accessible.
  • Assist with basic accessibility review for CCI materials.
  • Provide virtual meeting support, including chat monitoring, polling, breakout rooms, etc.
  • Prepare slides, handouts, one-pagers, and other meeting or training materials with accessible formatting.

Job description

Within the Tennessee Department of Health, the Division of Strategic Initiatives bridges TDH resources with local knowledge, priorities, and leadership. The Office of Community Collaboration and Impact (CCI) supports this purpose by strengthening Tennessee’s County Health Councils to help communities address local public health challenges.

The CCI Coordinator will provide coordination, communications,meetings, and documentationsupport to help CCI activities run smoothly and consistently.This position will support day-to-day program operations, including scheduling, partner communications, document organization, and basic accessibility support for CCI materials.

Job Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintainCCIdocuments andSharePointlibraries
  • Supportroutinewebsite content updates, ensuringmaterialsremaincurrent and accessible
  • Assistwith basic accessibility reviewforCCI materials, including Word documents, PowerPoint slides, PDFs, forms, and shared resources.
  • Use available accessibility checkers and internal review processes toidentifycommon issues before materials are shared.
  • Helpidentifyaccessibility and remediation needs for CCI materials and coordinate withappropriate staffto ensure next steps are completed.

MeetingSupport

  • Provide virtual meeting support, including chat monitoring, polling, breakout rooms, etc.
  • Assistwith the preparation and formatting of slides, handouts, one-pagers, and other meeting or training materials.
  • Help ensure meeting and training materials are prepared using basicaccessibility/ADApractices, including accessible slide formatting, readable layouts, meaningful links, and captions or transcripts when applicable.
