Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary

The program coordinator 1 (PC1) provides a wide range of administrative services to program directors, faculty, and students of the SGPP. Working closely with program directors and Student Central staff, the PC1 provides academic program assistance, administrative support, front-line customer service, and event coordination in support of the student experience across all programs.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to SGPP programs that includes calendar scheduling, recording meeting minutes, document management, filing, and other administrative duties.
  • Fields questions from students related to grade grievances or concerns with courses or instructors, working closely with program directors to resolve these issues in a timely manner.
  • Assists with program level communications, specifically external partners.
  • Assists with course schedule development.
  • Communicates with faculty to fill schedules for assigned courses.
  • Coordinates documentation and communication of program policies, procedures, and outcomes.
  • Provides administrative support relating to textbooks and course materials.
  • Assists faculty with course setup in the Learning Management System (Canvas).
  • Tracks and archives course syllabi.
  • Provides technical assistance to students and faculty with program-specific applications.
  • Participates in meetings and events as required or requested, including graduation ceremonies.
  • Support, respect, and advance the mission of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota as a Lasallian Catholic institution

Other Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assistance with on-campus events periodically throughout the school years
  • Communicate with adjunct faculty about textbook adoption and collect syllabus each semester
Qualifications

Experience and Education Requirements

  • High School diploma, College degree preferred

  • Performs other administrative support duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work. Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
