City of Charleston is seeking a Program Coordinator to plan, organize, coordinate and implement a variety of community, recreational, cultural and special events at community centers.
The role requires working nights, weekends and/or holidays as needed to meet City goals. You will develop events, enforce facility rules, distribute promotions, evaluate facilities and prepare program plans for budget input.
Under the direct supervision of the Manager Leisure Services the Program Coordinator will plan, organize, coordinate and implement a variety of community, recreational, cultural and special events programs at community centers.
This position will be expected to work a schedule necessary to accomplish City and departmental goals, including nights, weekends and /or holidays as required.

Associate degree in recreation, sports management, wellness or closely related field; one (1) year or related experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid State of West Virginia Drivers License
