Penn State Conferences and Institutes (C&I) seeks a Program Coordination Intern to assist with the logistical planning of non-credit educational programs, including camps, workshops, and conferences for Fall 2026. The Intern will work closely with staff to develop and deliver programs to adults and youth, supporting on-site activities such as registrations, poster sessions, exhibits, receptions, lunches, activities, and dinners. In addition, the Intern will attend meetings with staff and program partners and lead or assist with various tasks and projects to learn the inner workings of program success.

The internship typically lasts 10-12 weeks, usually from September through mid-December. Start and end dates may be flexible to accommodate academic or personal schedules. Work hours vary but are estimated at 20-35 hours per week, with occasional weekend and evening sessions during programs scheduled in advance. This is a paid internship at $15 per hour.
Interns will develop NACE competences, including communication, critical thinking, teamwork, technology, leadership, professionalism, career and self-development, and equity and inclusion. Students will also enroll in a free, non-credit, 8-week Canvas mini-course to support reflection and growth.
Required clearances include PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check, in addition to applicable background checks.
