Responsibilities

  • Ensure buildings and grounds are cleaned before and after each guest.
  • Prepare camp setups prior to guest arrival.
  • Coordinate guest needs with departments in a timely manner.
  • Communicate schedules and resource needs across teams.
  • Address issues promptly and resolve problems.
  • Interview, hire, train, and manage summer staff.
  • Help create and execute sessions, games, and experiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary: Program Camp Host will work with pastors, group leaders, and staff to help churches and groups make more and better disciples by creating experiences that accelerate relationship building.

This position is connected to the faith and mission of the camp and moves forward the mission and vision of UCYC.

Responsibilities:
Program Season:
  • Ensure buildings and grounds are properly cleaned before and after each guest
  • Ensure set-up of camp prior to guest arrival
  • Communicate guest needs to appropriate departments in a timely manner
  • Communicate with other departments about schedules and resource needs
  • Address issues and resolve problems promptly
  • Interviewing, hiring, training, and managing summer staff
  • Help create and execute programming of sessions, games, and experiences
  • Other duties as assigned
Group Season:
  • Ensure buildings and grounds are properly cleaned before and after each guest
  • Ensure set-up of camp prior to guest arrival
  • Greet guest upon arrival and distribute all necessary materials and guide them to their venues
  • Connecting with group leader and dining staff at meals
  • Ensure proper hand-off to rec team (if needed)
  • Ensure proper hand-off to production team (if needed)
  • Host campfire at designated time
  • Check in with group leaders about their experience and distribute survey
  • Other duties as assigned
