An established industry player is seeking a Program Associate for the GCF Task Force at UCLA. Under the direction of the Project Director of the Governors' Climate and Forests Task Force (GCF Task Force) at UCLA, the Program Associate, Impact Assessment, will provide services related to assessing, enhancing, and communicating the impacts of the GCF Task Force. The GCF Task Force is a project based at the UCLA School of Law and IoES, in partnership with the University of Colorado, Boulder. It supports a network of 43 state and provincial governments from 11 countries to reduce deforestation, attract sustainable finance, and combat climate change.
Responsibilities include soliciting and assessing data from member jurisdictions, coordinating with technical partners, utilizing and improving the GCF Impact Tracking System, enhancing communication efforts, developing policy reports and digital materials, and collaborating with UCLA and CU departments. Strong analytical skills, experience with GIS and remote sensing, effective communication, experience working in the global South, proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or Bahasa Indonesian, and willingness to travel (2-4 times/year) are required.
