Job summary

The Kenneth Rainin Foundation is seeking a motivated Program Associate to join a collaborative Bay Area team. You will support grantmaking, knowledge management and data analysis for the Arts, Education and Health programs, helping ensure equitable and efficient grant workflows.

Reporting to the Director of Arts Strategy & Ventures, you will assist with administrative tasks, convene meetings, draft communications and maintain program data and calendars to advance the Foundation’s mission of

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience; nonprofit sector experience is highly desired.
• Strong analytical and project management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to collect, organize and synthesize information from diverse sources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Basecamp.
• Experience with budgets and financial information.
• Commitment to advancing equity and learning within Foundation work.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with grants management and program teams to support grant cycle activities and applicant communications.
• Assist with applicant financial review processes and reporting.
• Conduct independent research to support program initiatives and develop content for reports and meetings.
• Document meetings and help produce follow-up materials to improve processes.
• Draft communications, including blogs, announcements and website content.
• Support grant recommendations, memoranda and program correspondence.
• Maintain the program calendar and coordinate meetings and events.
• Manage program budgets and track expenditures across grants.
• Share data and insights through grants data visualization for internal use.
