Job summary

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks a Program Associate-Dairy Extension (On-Call) to support a research team with public communications and engagement. The role involves developing and disseminating educational materials, including factsheets and online learning tools, and coordinating outreach activities for cattle producers and industry professionals.

Responsibilities include scheduling, video clip production, surveys, participant recruitment for online programs, and organizing workshops

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in agriculture, animal science, dairy science or related field plus two years’ experience in program coordination, dairy science, agriculture or related area. Equivalent education/experience considered.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with Microsoft products and Zoom.

• Publish extension factsheets that will serve as an educational resource and reference for cattle producers and industry professionals.
• Schedule development and dissemination of e-tools such as factsheets generated by research collaborates.
• Work with the project team to capture and produce video clips for development of educational videos.
• Coordinate with UNL personnel to develop assessment surveys regarding knowledge gained and changes the team may make based on what producers learned.
• Assist the project team to recruit and schedule participants for online learning programs.
• Schedule interactive workshops that will be made available to Extension personnel nationally.
• Collaborate with team in posting online learning material on websites.
• Attend project teams monthly meetings either in person or via Zoom.
• May be engaged to conduct other duties related to project extension goals.
