Job summary

The University of Michigan Dearborn invites applications for a Program Assistant in the Office of TRIO Programs. This role will coordinate recruitment activities and lead several summer programs for high school students, with duties extending to outreach to underrepresented populations and the maintenance of the office website and social media accounts.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating recruitment activities.
• Experience leading summer programs for high school students.
• Ability to travel extensively during fall, winter and spring.

Responsibilities

• Build partnerships with school districts.
• Coordinate involvement with local nonprofit youth-serving organizations.
• Coordinate summer pre-collegiate/access programs.
• Assist with department operations, budgets, planning, procedures, and supervise staff.
• Serve as liaison with Undergraduate Programs, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Residence Life.
• Collect student data and track services provided.
• Implement and collect student evaluations.
• Monitor student behavior on field trips and during workshops.
• Assist and facilitate workshops.
