The Tufts University Office of Sustainability is seeking an entry-level Sustainability Program Assistant for a one-year term in Medford, MA. You will assist in three areas: student programs, data management, and communications, gaining hands-on experience in higher education sustainability.
You will help coordinate programs, collect and analyze data for dashboards and reporting, and develop communications materials for social media, newsletters, and events.
The Tufts Office of Sustainability (OOS) works to advance sustainability across Tufts University by supporting effective resource use, fostering student engagement, and collaborating with faculty, staff, and operational partners. The office connects institutional problem-solving with education and research, helping build a culture of sustainability and collective problem-solving across the university.
This is a one-year limited term position.
The Sustainability Program Assistant is an entry-level professional role that supports OOS in three main areas: 1. Student Sustainability Programs; 2. Resource-Use and Sustainability Data Management; 3. Communications Support. This position offers hands-on experience in higher education sustainability, program facilitation, data handling, community engagement, and communications.
Knowledge and experience typically acquired by:
Minimum $25.20, Midpoint $30.10, Maximum $34.90
Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
