Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Less than 1 year academic experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative and operational support for academic programs, initiatives, workshops, meetings, and events, including coordination of schedules, materials, communications, and logistics.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for faculty, staff, students, volunteers, and external stakeholders by responding to inquiries, providing program information, and supporting participant engagement and recruitment efforts.
  • Assists with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of program processes, policies, educational materials, and best practices to ensure consistency and effectiveness across programs and activities.
  • Maintains electronic systems, databases, virtual learning and communication platforms, web content, and program records; supports data collection, reporting, assessment activities, and preparation of evaluation summaries.
  • Coordinates operational and event-related logistics including meeting preparation, space reservations, audiovisual needs, food arrangements, conference support, marketing materials, email communications, and social media updates while performing additional duties as assigned.

The Program Assistant serves as a key point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and external partners while supporting daily operations, communications, scheduling, logistics, and program engagement. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, collaboration across departments, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced academic environment.

Physical Demands
  • Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
