Job summary

The CARE Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated administrator to coordinate daily services for clients at the Kittanning sites.

You will support resident Service Plans, manage crisis responses, oversee meals and medication coordination, and act as the primary point of contact for the office and funding communications. Role requires strong administrative background, excellent communication, and ability to handle confidential information in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years of administrative experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to obtain PA State Police, PA Child Abuse, and FBI clearances.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and multi-line telephone simultaneously.
  • Ability to transport oneself and/or individuals in an insured vehicle as program needs dictate.
  • Ability to assist, move and/or transfer office supplies up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to assist, move and/or transfer individuals weighing up to 150 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing resident Service Plans to promote independence.
  • Monitor and document goals in residents' Service Plans.
  • Provide staff support and hands-on instruction for crisis plans and crisis resolution.
  • Plan balanced meals for residents and ensure nutritional needs are met.
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings to improve crisis response skills.
  • Serve as lead office staff for public inquiries and office operations at CRR site(s).
  • Handle non-routine communications with funding sources, professionals, and clients.

Comprehensive Benefits Package • Tuition Discounts • Career AdvancementThe CARE Center, Inc.Kittanning, PA LocationOverall Function:Performs a series of specialized tasks or procedures directly related to the coordination of daily services for clients in the program at both site locations building a positive community environment and assisting with the growth and development of the clients.Essential Functions:Assists in developing and implementing resident Service Plans to provide residents with assistance in independence and personal responsibility.Ensuring that the goals identified in the resident’s Service Plans are monitored and recorded for the program supervisor.Provides staff support and hands-on instruction to residents to implement crisis plans and assist with crisis resolution.Assures appropriate well-balanced meal planning to meet the needs of all residents.Participates in regular staff meetings and trainings to develop knowledge and skills to assist residents in crisis resolution and support job performance.Oversees resident’s medication needs and is the direct contact with pharmacies.Serves as the program's lead office staff when the public, clients, family members, etc. call or present at the office, giving and receiving information about the program or services.Serves as the lead office staff person providing primary operational support for the CRR sites.Serves as a program liaison responsible for handling non-routine, cooperative problem-solving situations; external communications with funding sources, professionals, clients, etc.; and explanation of agency policies, procedures, and structure.Fields calls for the CRR team, provides call screening to accurately assess client immediate needs to effectively assist in monitoring team dispatch and daily client management.Prepares and submits all required program reports and documentation in a timely manner.Adheres to all policies, laws, regulations and codes of ethics and confidentiality as outlined by federal and state laws, and agency policies and procedures.Must have a minimum of four years of administrative experience or equivalent combination experience and training, as determined by the Agency.Knowledge of general office procedures, including interpersonal skills and telephone interaction.Demonstrated proficiency on a typewriter and/or computer keyboard.Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal health program.Must successfully obtain clearances from the PA State Police, Child Abuse Clearance from the PA Department of Human Services, and FBI Fingerprint Clearances.Ability to sit for long periods of time during the workday.Ability to operate a keyboard and multi-line telephone simultaneously, with a high degree of accuracy.Ability to occasionally assist, move and/or transfer office supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.Ability to receive, understand, and communicate information with effectiveness, and follow instructions.Ability to transport oneself and/or individuals in an insured vehicle as program needs dictate.Ability to safely operate a variety of agency vehicles.Ability to assist, mover and/or transfer individuals weighing up to 150 pounds, may be required.Available Benefits:Medical and dental benefits for eligible employees.Retirement plan with potential for agency match.Tuition discounts with partnering colleges and universities.Career advancement opportunities.Generous time off for eligible employees.Be an SPHS Hero!EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
