Job summary

Community LIFE Tarentum in Pennsylvania is seeking a Program Assistant to support elderly participants in our Adult Day Center. You will assist with activities of daily living, lead light recreational activities, and provide personal care as needed, ensuring a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid PA driver's license with reliable vehicle, and caregiving experience preferred.

• Empathetic and compassionate attitude in caring for the elderly.
• Ability to understand and carry out non-technical verbal and written directions, record messages, and keep records.
• Ability to get along well with others and gain the cooperation of the participants.
• Physical and emotional ability to carry out assigned tasks.
• Routine work involving the personal care and program activities of participants.
• PA Driver's license and reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to elderly participants with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Lead recreational activities and participate in program activities.
• Record messages and maintain participant records as required.

About this position

Location: Tarentum, PA

Schedule: Mon.-Fri., 7:30am-4pm; plus 8 weekend hours per month

Salary: $15.50 and up per hour (more based on verifiable caregiving experience) DAILY PAY AVAILABLE!!

Summary: Aides are responsible for providing assistance to elderly participants with activities of daily living, recreational activities and performing personal care services in our Adult Day Center and, as needed, their place of residence.

Required Education: High school diploma or GED

Required Licensure: Valid PA Driver's license and reliable vehicle

Required Experience: Caregiving for a frail or elderly population is preferred
