A local caregiving organization in Homestead seeks compassionate Aides to provide daily living assistance to elderly participants. Responsibilities include personal care services, engaging in recreational activities, and supporting their overall quality of life. The ideal candidate must have at least one year of caregiving experience and a valid driver's license. This position offers competitive pay starting at $15.50 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience caregiving for elderly populations.
• Valid PA Driver's license and reliable vehicle required.

Responsabilités

• Assist elderly participants with daily living activities.
• Perform personal care services in our Adult Day Center.
• Engage in recreational activities with participants.

Formation

High school diploma or GED

Location: Homestead, PA  Schedule: Mon.-Fri., 7:30am-4pm; plus 8 weekend hours per month

Salary: $15.50 and up per hour (more based on verifiable caregiving experience) DAILY PAY AVAILABLE!!

Summary

Aides are responsible for providing assistance to elderly participants with activities of daily living, recreational activities and performing personal care services in our Adult Day Center and, as needed, their place of residence.

Required Education

High school diploma or GED

Required Licensure

Valid PA Driver's license and reliable vehicle

Required Experience

Minimum of one year (12 months) experience caregiving for a frail or elderly population is required.

Required Skills

• Discretion, tact, patience, and good judgment.
• Empathetic and compassionate attitude in caring for the elderly.
• Ability to understand and carry out non-technical verbal and written directions, record messages, and keep records.
• Ability to get along well with others and gain the cooperation of the participants.
• Physical and emotional ability to carry out assigned tasks.
• Routine work involving the personal care and program activities of participants.
