Job summary

Community Life GmbH in Somerset, PA is seeking a Program Assistant to support elderly participants with daily living activities, recreation, and personal care in our Adult Day Center, and in participants' homes when needed.

This full-time role offers a daytime schedule and benefits. A high school diploma or GED and a valid PA driver's license with a reliable vehicle are required.

Program Assistant

Full Time 40 Technical Somerset, Somerset, PA, US

Salary Range: $15.50 To $16.50 Hourly

Location: Somerset, PA
Schedule: Mon.-Fri., 7:30am-4pm; plus 8 weekend hours per month

Salary: $15.50 and up per hour (more based on verifiable caregiving experience) DAILY PAY AVAILABLE!!

Summary: Program Assistants are responsible for providing assistance to elderly participants with activities of daily living, recreational activities and performing personal care services in our Adult Day Center and, as needed, their place of residence.

Required Education: High school diploma or GED

Required Licensure: Valid PA Driver's license and reliable vehicle

Required Experience: Caregiving experience is preferred.

Required Skills:

• Discretion, tact, patience, and good judgment.
• Empathetic and compassionate attitude in caring for the elderly.
• Ability to understand and carry out non-technical verbal and written directions, record messages, and keep records.
• Ability to get along well with others and gain the cooperation of the participants.

• Routine work involving the personal care and program activities of participants.
