Day Program Instructor - Part-time - Monday through Friday

NO EVENINGS, WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Have fun while you work and bring joy into the lives of the adult program participants! The Program Aide/Instructor is responsible for assisting special needs adults with activities such as crafts, community outings and life skills.

Staff observe and report on the accomplishments of participants, while maintaining a safe and clean environment and the day program aide transports participants when in the community using an Agency vehicle for learning, engagement and fun activities.

Part‑time - Monday through Friday - 7:15 am to 2:00 pm Program Assistant

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Current driver’s license with the ability to travel utilizing an Agency vehicle
• Obtain and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - provided by Lifesteps
• First aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain and maintain within six (6) months - provided by Lifesteps

Preferred:

• One‑year experience working with individuals in the human services field, like direct care, home health aide, personal attendant, TSS, etc.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, Recreational Therapy, Health Education, Nutrition, or any other major
