The Salvation Army is seeking a Program Assistant in Anacortes to support Corps Officers and manage diverse programs, including youth ministries and seasonal events. The role involves coordinating activities, managing spaces, and maintaining participant relations.

Scope Of Position
The Program Assistant role is a leadership position that provides both program and administrative management functions to support the corps officer in their work and assigned corps programs. This position will lead and assist in various Salvation Army regular and seasonal programs such as, but not limited to: Youth Ministries, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Summer, Camp, etc. The Program Assistant will develop and implement a growing spiritual ministry within the framework of The Salvation Army’s programs, policies and practices. The Corps Assistant will provide oversight and support for various programs such as after-school program and TROOPS. The Corps Assistant will also fill in for various positions throughout the corps as needed such as front desk and the Hope Market Food Bank.

Health Insurance: Low bi-weekly premiums for employee-only coverage, Kaiser HMO for those residing in a Kaiser service area, Anthem EPO/PPO is available for those residing outside a Kaiser service area. Parental Leave: The benefit is 40 hours of Paid Leave for qualifying events.
Sick Leave: 12 days of Sick Leave annually accruing from day one, eligible for use after three months’ service time.
Paid Vacation
Two weeks annually, accruing from day one, for non-exempt positions.
Four weeks annually, accruing from day one, for exempt positions.
Accrued vacation is eligible for use after six months’ service time.
Paid Holidays: 13 designated holidays + 1 floating holiday per year
