This 6‑floor, 78,000 square feet, majestic LEED certified building is a dynamic, vibrant, and well‑utilized center of access and learning in the Bronx. It is home to the New York Public Library’s premier Latino and Puerto Rican Heritage Collection, which features books in English and Spanish on the Latino experience. The Bronx Library Center serves a diverse clientele with dominant populations of Hispanics and African Americans.
Reporting to the Managing Librarian, this part‑time position is responsible for supporting audio/visual production (lighting, audio systems, etc…) and technological needs for a range of events and services in BLC. This position will coordinate with programming staff and internal departments to determine audiovisual and technological requirements, assist in ensuring staffing and equipment needs are met, set up and operate technology for any event, and provide staff and public technology training and assistance.
