Job summary

State of North Carolina - OSHR Temporary Solutions is seeking a Program Analyst I (S) to assist with managing Recycling Infrastructure Grant Funds, funded through EPA’s Hurricane Helene Supplemental Allocation for Hazardous Waste and Solid Waste Management, with travel to western North Carolina.

The role requires conducting research, promoting grant opportunities, assisting with funding applications, and coordinating with grantees to ensure compliance and timely reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may apply.
  • Experience with grant management or government programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and survey local government recycling infrastructure needs.
  • Promote the Recycling Infrastructure Funding opportunity and assist with applications for funding.
  • Manage pass-through grant contracts and ensure grantee reporting requirements are met.
  • Support reimbursement processes and engage with current and prospective grantees, plan and host disaster debris workshops.
