Job summary

The State of North Carolina, Office of State Human Resources - Temporary Solutions, seeks a Program Analyst I (S) to support management of Recycling Infrastructure Grant Funds at NC’s Wake County location. The role involves researching needs, promoting funding opportunities, and coordinating grant applications and reporting.

Eligible applicants are expected to have a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience; a combination of education and experience may qualify.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment.
• An equivalent combination of training and experience may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on local government recycling infrastructure needs.
• Promote the Recycling Infrastructure Funding opportunity.
• Assist with applications for funding and manage pass-through grant contracts.
• Scope potential grant projects and ensure grantee reporting requirements are met.
• Support reimbursement processes and engage with current and prospective grantees.
• Plan and host disaster debris workshops and create grant process resources.
• Ensure projects are eligible activities and adhere to all applicable pass-through funding requirements.
• Travel to western North Carolina will be required.

Education

Bachelor’s degree and three years experience
