Job summary

Office of the Inspector General, U.S. Department of Justice seeks qualified candidates for GS-11/12/13 Program Analyst positions in the Evaluation & Inspection Division in Washington, DC. Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or J.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at GS‑9; OR a combination of education and experience.
  • Specialized experience includes collecting and analyzing information from diverse data sources, evaluating internal and external policy, and communicating complex issues in writing and verbally.
  • Preparing segments of evaluation reports addressing productivity and efficiency, with conclusions and recommendations; using databases and spreadsheets to visualize data.
  • Presenting information to team or management; planning or leading evaluations or inspections; developing graphs and charts to present data.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and analyzing information from diverse data sources including interviews.
  • Evaluating internal and external policy.
  • Communicating complex issues both in writing and verbally.
  • Preparing segments of evaluation reports with conclusions and recommendations.
  • Using databases and spreadsheets to develop graphs, charts, and data visualizations.
