Job summary

Joyous Ventures in North Hollywood is seeking a Program Aide to help maintain a safe, respectful living environment in our interim housing program. You will work with behavioral health and case management teams to support participants' daily needs and progress toward stability.

This role involves welcoming residents, monitoring common areas, assisting with transitions, providing emotional support, responding to medical emergencies, and keeping accurate shift documentation.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certification required.
• BLS/CPR Certification required.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and provide support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and orient new participants to the facility and program expectations
• Monitor participant activities in common areas and sleeping quarters
• Provide basic guidance and emotional support while maintaining professional boundaries
• Respond to medical emergencies and administer First Aid/CPR

Job Summary

The Program Aide plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and respectful living environment for participants residing in Joyous Ventures’ interim housing programs. Working closely with behavioral health and case management teams, the Program Aide supports participants’ daily needs and contributes to their progress toward stability and self-sufficiency. This role combines elements of residential support, safety monitoring, and participant engagement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome and orient new participants to the facility and program expectations
• Assist with participant transitions, including exits and room changes
• Monitor participant activities in common areas and sleeping quarters
• Provide basic guidance and emotional support while maintaining professional boundaries
• Encourage participation in chores, programming, and supportive services
• Maintain a drug, alcohol and violence-free living environment
• Educate and consistently enforce program policies and procedures
• Conduct hourly wellness and safety checks throughout the facility
• Promptly report compliance concerns, behavioral incidents, or safety risks to supervisors
• Respond to medical emergencies, administer First Aid/CPR, and follow established protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely shift documentation, including incident reports and participant observations
• Light housekeeping
• Support inventory tracking, supply distribution, and basic room inspections
