Job summary

Joyous Ventures seeks a Program Aide to maintain a safe, respectful living environment within interim housing programs. You will work closely with behavioral health and case management teams to support participants' daily needs and progress toward stability and self-sufficiency.

This role blends residential support, safety monitoring, and participant engagement, requiring compassionate communication, boundary setting, and reliable shift coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting participants in residential programs.
• Ability to conduct wellness and safety checks hourly.
• Certification in First Aid/CPR and Food Handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and orient new participants to the facility and program expectations.
• Assist with participant transitions, including exits and room changes.
• Monitor participant activities in common areas and sleeping quarters.
• Provide basic guidance and emotional support while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Encourage participation in chores, programming, and supportive services.
• Maintain a drug, alcohol and violence-free living environment.
• Educate and enforce program policies and procedures.
• Conduct hourly wellness and safety checks throughout the facility.
• Promptly report compliance concerns, behavioral incidents, or safety risks to supervisors.
• Respond to medical emergencies, administer First Aid/CPR, and follow established protocols.
• Maintain shift documentation and participant observations.
• Light housekeeping.
• Support inventory tracking, supply distribution, and basic room inspections.
