Job summary

Joyous Ventures LLC seeks a Program Aide to help maintain a safe, respectful living environment within interim housing, working with behavioral health and case management teams to support participants' daily needs and progress toward stability and self-sufficiency. The role combines residential support, safety monitoring, and participant engagement.

Responsibilities include welcoming participants, monitoring activities, providing emotional support, enforcing policies, and performing wellness

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certification required.
• BLS/CPR Certification required.
• Part-time overnight (11:00pm–7:30am) weekends in North Hollywood.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and orient new participants to the facility and program expectations.
• Assist with participant transitions, including exits and room changes.
• Monitor participant activities in common areas and sleeping quarters.
• Provide basic guidance and emotional support while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Encourage participation in chores, programming, and supportive services.
• Maintain a drug, alcohol and violence-free living environment.
• Educate and enforce program policies and procedures.
• Conduct hourly wellness and safety checks throughout the facility.
• Promptly report compliance concerns or safety risks to supervisors.
• Respond to medical emergencies and follow protocols.
• Maintain shift documentation including incident reports and observations.
• Light housekeeping.
• Support inventory tracking and basic room inspections.

Job Summary

The Program Aide plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and respectful living environment for participants residing in Joyous Ventures’ interim housing programs. Working closely with behavioral health and case management teams, the Program Aide supports participants’ daily needs and contributes to their progress toward stability and self-sufficiency. This role combines elements of residential support, safety monitoring, and participant engagement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome and orient new participants to the facility and program expectations
• Assist with participant transitions, including exits and room changes
• Monitor participant activities in common areas and sleeping quarters
• Provide basic guidance and emotional support while maintaining professional boundaries
• Encourage participation in chores, programming, and supportive services
• Maintain a drug, alcohol and violence-free living environment
• Educate and consistently enforce program policies and procedures
• Conduct hourly wellness and safety checks throughout the facility
• Promptly report compliance concerns, behavioral incidents, or safety risks to supervisors
• Respond to medical emergencies, administer First Aid/CPR, and follow established protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely shift documentation, including incident reports and participant observations
• Light housekeeping
• Support inventory tracking, supply distribution, and basic room inspections
