Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time Recreation staff member at NSC-Smithfield Corps in Smithfield, NC. The role involves providing care for children, implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, helping with homework, serving snacks, and maintaining a clean environment.

Safety and supervision are essential, including bus transport oversight. Required are a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of church-based child development teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience teaching child development programs in a church.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Implements lesson plans which are age-group program specific.
• Provide homework assistance as needed.
• Prepares and serves children's snacks meals.
• Cleans the kitchen, classrooms, tables, bathrooms, etc. in accordance with established standards.
• Monitor children on the bus during transportation.
• Ensure the safety and protection of children at all times.
