Job summary

Portland State University is seeking a Program Administrator to lead administrative efforts for the Institute on Aging and related centers, assisting the IOA Director, faculty and staff with coordinating research programs, budgets, recruitment, communications and external partnerships.

This mid-level role reports to the IOA director, supports the SALC coordinator, and aligns with the AAUP agreement. The position starts at .50 FTE and may move to 1.0 FTE.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 3+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of PSU program practices and operations.
• Experience working with Banner, DataMaster/Cognos or similar enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist IOA Director, faculty and staff with coordinating a program of research.
• Manage fiscal resources for research programs and projects.
• Lead support for recruitment, retention, communication, and faculty research initiatives.
• Develop relationships with external groups and agencies.
• Support the SALC coordinator and SALC Advisory Council.
