Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • 8+ years managing multi-vendor projects or complex integrations.
  • 4+ years with Medicaid Enterprise Certification Toolkit or similar certifications.
  • Knowledge of MITA 3.0 and CMS Seven Standards and Conditions.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent required.
  • Experience with healthcare verticals and claims processing.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and drive project completion.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a Program Account Director to join our growing team.

Job Summary: As a Program Account Director, you will be in a key leadership role in managing and overseeing complex healthcare programs. You will ensure that programs are executed effectively, on time, and within budget. This position involves managing processes, engaging with clients and stakeholders, and coordinating efforts across cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality services that meet client expectations and organizational standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the chief liaison to the Agency for design, development, implementation, certification, as well as maintenance and modification activities
  • Collaborate with MES (Medicaid Enterprise System) Module Contractors to ensure seamless integration
  • Provide management of the project, and other Project Managers
  • Support project managers with effective and efficient execution of AMMP Plans, Procedures and protocol guidelines
  • Act as point of contact for the CPMS (Claims Processing Management System) contract, including deliverables, risk, issues and decisions and action items during DDI and certification
  • Project and scope coordination and management during DDI and certification
  • Project scheduling and provision of resources during DDI and certification
  • Provide regular status reports during DDI and certification
  • Contract administration and coordination of basic contractual/invoicing requirements
  • Formal communication and correspondence with the Agency during DDI and certification
  • Manage the contract resources, including onboarding, training and assignments during DDI and certification
  • Responsible for keeping all CPMS phases of the program on time during DDI and certification
  • Ensure CPMS meets all State and Federal requirements and supports PMO audits
  • Attend monthly meetings and CAB meetings and provide status reports as needed
  • Ensure the successful delivery of services, projects, and deliverables on schedule
  • Monitor program performance metrics, quality performance, deliverables, and budgets to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and organizational goals.
  • Maintain strong, successful relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Manage program risk by identifying potential issues, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring readiness for program launch and day‑to‑day operations.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.
  • The list of accountabilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other education‑ and experience‑related duties that management may deem necessary from time to time.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience managing multi‑vendor projects or similar complex integration efforts
  • 4+ years of experience with Medicaid Enterprise Certification Toolkit (MECT), Outcomes Based Certification, Streamlined Modular Certification, or other Certification efforts
  • Working knowledge of Medicaid Transformation Initiative, Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) 3.0, and the CMS Seven Standards and Conditions
  • PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) or equivalent required.
  • Medicare, Medicaid, or healthcare verticals domain knowledge with claims processing knowledge and experience.
  • Proven track record of effective skills in presentations, written and communications
  • Proven track record to meet and enforce deadlines, conduct research into technology issues and products, and to take initiative in the development and completion of projects.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement in solving complex and unusual technical, administrative, and managerial problems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of metrics, productivity measures and reporting.
  • Broad knowledge of Information Technology systems and applications, including AI and Cloud technologies
  • Budget and financial skills.

Experience in Lieu of Degree

For non‑clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands‑on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.

Compensation

Based on our compensation philosophy, an applicant's position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.

The pay range for this position is USD $145,200.00 – USD $181,500.00 per year.
