Job summary

GT Industries, Inc. is seeking an Operator for the Prog Press on the 1st shift in North Vernon, IN. You will be responsible for proper setup, safe and timely operation, and producing quality stamped parts according to instructions.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean workspace, recording production data, and participating in process improvements. Requires a high school diploma or GED and prior press experience, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent and production experience.
• Must watch all Press Operator training video series and pass the class.
• Must have die set training.

Responsibilities

• Operate Prog Press safely and efficiently.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and proper housekeeping.
• Follow setup and work instructions and report safety concerns.
• Train new associates to run the progs as directed by supervisor.
• Study SPC charts to identify process problems and ensure quality.
• Follow first-in, first-out handling of raw materials and complete paperwork accurately.
• Ensure last piece samples are submitted before starting next die set.
