Job summary

United Aviate Academy seeks a dedicated Progress Check Instructor to evaluate student performance under the Aviation Safety Program, ACS, FAA regulations, and UAA policies. You will maintain training records and guide students toward meeting training requirements.

Ideal candidates have deep knowledge of 14 CFR, FSIMS 8900, and aviation standards, plus proven ability to deliver clear feedback, manage scheduling, and foster a safe, professional learning environment for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Extensive understanding of 14 CFR, FSIMS 8900, and aviation regulations.
• Multiple signoffs in a variety of courses with a high pass rate.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to ensure quality and consistency of instruction.
• Maintain student training records and ensure FAA ACS course standards are met.
• Recommend students for evaluation by a DPE.
• Maintain records in compliance with 14 CFR Part 141 and UAA policies.
• Recommend improvements to curriculum and courseware.
• Foster a safe, caring, dependable, and efficient culture with students and staff.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Job description

As a Progress Check Instructor (PCI), you will perform the duties of an evaluator, ensuring students understand and practice all aspects of the United Aviate Academy's Aviation Safety Program. You will evaluate student progress in accordance with Airman Certification Standards (ACS), FAA regulations, the Training Course Outline (TCO), and UAA policies, maintain training records, and ensure students meet training requirements.

Key responsibilities include

• Evaluating students to ensure quality and consistency of instruction.
• Maintaining student training records and ensuring FAA ACS course standards are met.
• Recommending students for evaluation by a Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Maintain student training records in compliance with 14 CFR Part 141 and UAA policies.
• Ensure course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met for all assigned students.
• Recommend improvements to curriculum and courseware.
• Foster a safe, caring, dependable, and efficient culture with students and staff.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Experience
