Job summary

Charleston Southern University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Master of Science in Clinical Counseling program. The role also serves as the Program Director for the Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision, with the first doctoral cohort planned for Fall 2027.

The successful candidate will join CACREP-accredited faculty, contribute to teaching, advising, supervision, scholarship, service, and lead doctoral launch and accreditation

Qualifications

• Earned doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent with SC licensure eligibility.
• Demonstrated experience teaching graduate-level counseling courses.
• Scholarly activity aligned with faculty rank; leadership in counselor education.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate-level counseling courses in MSCC and Ph.D. programs as assigned.
• Integrate Christian faith with professional counseling knowledge in teaching and mentoring.
• Advise and mentor graduate students on progress, licensure, research, and careers.
• Participate in assessment, remediation, and professional disposition processes.
• Lead program-related CACREP assessment, accreditation, and evaluation activities.
• Maintain an active scholarly agenda with publications, presentations, grants, or equivalent.
