Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is assisting our client hire a Nursing Professor in Rochester, NY for an LPN program. This role is on site / in person and is a full-time Direct Hire with adjunct availability. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 32 hours per week.

Pay: $70,000 to $75,000 per year. Key responsibilities include delivering 15–20 instructional hours weekly across classroom, lab and clinical settings, maintaining program standards, and collaborating on faculty development and student

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New York

Responsibilities

• Provide 15–20 instructional hours per week across classroom, lab and clinical settings
• Maintain classroom climate aligned with college values and program goals
• Model professional standards in classroom, lab and clinical sites
• Publish a weekly skills-assistance schedule to support learning and monitor attendance
• Maintain current knowledge through professional involvement and scholarly resources
• Participate in program, campus, and system faculty development activities
• Manage required beginning- and end-of-term paperwork
• Maintain administrative hours as directed by leadership
• Support recruitment, retention and graduation goals with program advisors
• Attend department and advisory committee meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities of the Nursing Professor:

• Provide 15 to 20 instructional contact hours per week in the classroom, lab and clinical setting
• Establish and maintain a classroom climate consistent with the College values, education promise, and personalized promise.
• Model professional practice and standards while in the classroom, lab and clinical site(s).
• Maintain one Skills Assistance contact hour per week for every four instructional hours assigned to support the classroom’s teaching and learning process by publishing a skills assistance schedule each term and actively promoting (and assigning when necessary) student attendance.
• Maintain a current knowledge of teaching discipline/field of study as evidenced by active participation in professional organizations, maintenance of current scholarly collection of resources (through virtual library), and engagement in active, on‑going dialogue with peer faculty.
• Participate in program, campus/market, and system faculty development opportunities, including program‑specific and campus‑wide faculty meetings and in‑services and market‑and system‑sponsored in‑services.
• Meet requirements for creation, distribution, and retention and/or submission of beginning‑ and end‑of‑term paperwork.
• Maintain Administrative hours as determined by the Program Director and Dean.
• Participate in campus‑wide initiatives in support of recruitment, retention, and graduation goal attainment including, but not limited to, monitoring, adjusting (when needed), and assessing classroom and program retention/graduation, and meeting with program advisors on a regular basis to discuss student performance and academic concerns.
• Participating in department committee meetings
• Attend advisory committee meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the Nursing Professor:

• Active and good standing RN in New York
• Teaching experience preferred
• Possess and exhibit qualities of professionalism, integrity, self‑esteem, self‑motivation, and a strong desire to guide students to improve their career prospects.
