Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chinese or a related field expected by Aug 1, 2027.
• Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Proven record of effective teaching and student engagement in Chinese language instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teach five courses per year, including language classes at various levels and content courses in Chinese Studies.
• Direct study abroad and supervise first-year seminars and interdisciplinary courses.
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen and expand the Chinese program through curriculum development and mentoring.
• Engage in research and university service; participate in program coordination and leadership.
