Qualifications

• Proven research productivity with potential for extramural funding.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership in clinical informatics, learning health systems, healthcare AI, or related biomedical informatics domains.
• Develop and sustain a nationally recognized, externally funded research program advancing healthcare through informatics and AI.
• Collaborate with MUSC Health, academic departments, research centers, and health system leaders to design, implement, and evaluate data-driven innovations in care.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams leveraging EHR, clinical, operational data to address clinical and public health challenges.
• Mentor faculty, fellows, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and trainees in informatics and data science.
• Contribute to biomedical informatics, data science, and AI education across graduate, professional, and continuing education programs.
• Foster collaborations across MUSC and external partners to expand impact of biomedical informatics and AI.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives within the Division of Biomedical Informatics and AI and support growth of MUSC's informatics ecosystem.
