Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or M.D.) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or closely related field.
• 3–5 years of postdoctoral research experience and an emerging record of scientific publications

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an independent, externally funded research program in AI, bioinformatics, genomics, computational biology, biostatistics, or a related field.
• Conduct innovative research using large-scale biomedical datasets (EHR, genomics, imaging, clinical trial data) to advance translational research.
• Collaborate with multiple departments and external partners.
• Develop computational methods and AI-driven approaches to address healthcare challenges and disparities.
• Secure extramural research funding from federal agencies, foundations, and sponsors.
• Teach and mentor students in AI, bioinformatics, data science, and biomedical research.
• Publish in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Participate in departmental and university service, including curriculum development.
