Job summary

Merrell Bros., Inc. is seeking a Full-time CDL Class B Transport Operator for a local Joliet, Illinois route using newer, automatic equipment. A clean driving record and a safety-minded attitude are mandatory.

You will transport raw materials, inspect trucks daily, plan routes, document mileage, and report defects. A $75,000+ annual income is possible plus an annual safety bonus. This role emphasizes on-time deliveries and regulatory compliance with in-house mechanics handling maintenance.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a truck driver.
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.).
• Ability to drive long hours during busy seasons.
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks.
• Truck driving school diploma/certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport raw materials.
• Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and mileage and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations and company policies.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents or violations.

Our Events Division is seeking applicants for a Full-time driver; Class B CDL. This is a local position in Joliet, Illinois utilizing newer equipment; all automatic; no logging.
