Professional Track Faculty Aerospace Engineering & Engineering Mechanics 2026-27

The Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for professional track full or part-time positions to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Positions are contingent on instructional needs. Appointments are typically made on a semester basis, although longer-term appointments may be available. Professional-track appointments are non-tenure track and are renewable annually.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a graduate degree or equivalent, excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to teach and work in a collaborative environment. Preference will be given to applicants with prior university teaching experience, years of experience, and/or graduate degrees.

Viable candidates should be capable of teaching a wide range of aerospace engineering courses. An understanding and appreciation for aerospace engineering fundamentals, as well as excellent management, communication, and organizational skills, and a willingness to learn quickly, is required.
